Sri Krishna Janmashtami

The Divine Appearance Day Anniversary of Lord Krishna

It is that time of year again when the ringing bells of ISKCON Columbus announce the divine birthday celebration of Lord Krishna. Follow the sound to the grandest 2022 Sri Krishna Janmashtami festival!

It is a time to reflect on Krishna’s love and mercy and deepen your relationship with Him. Join us for days of reflection, prayer, worship, spiritual discussions, chanting of Krishna’s names, yoga, fun activities, and A BLOCK PARTY that hosts other engagements which will connect you with the Lord and celebrate His appearance in our lives.

Friday - August 19, 2022

The actual appearance day anniversary of the Lord brings you an experience you will never forget. Bring your family and friends to enjoy enacted pastimes of Lord Krishna around the lake (the Janmashtami Journey), benefit from chanting Krishna’s holy names, and relish a sumptuous evening dinner. Be enamoured by the Lords Sri Sri Radha Natabara at
a special midnight arati in their splendid new outfit.
Participate in ecstatic kirtans and bhajans (musical mantra meditation) to invoke auspiciousness and Lord Krishna’s sublime blessings
a Kalash Abhishek, bathing the Deities with sacred liquids.

Janmashtami serves as an annual fundraiser for the temple- funds raised during Janmashtami helps with organizing these festivals and surplus is used to maintain the temple building, serve our outreach activities and support our operations year-round. With your support we have been able to maintain our weekly Sunday and Thursday open house, weekly OSU outreach programs like vegetarian cooking classes and higher taste beats, serve Krishna lunch daily, maintain a very high standard of deity worship with 6 offerings and arotiks daily, new dresses for deities, support 4 full time staff members, and have maintained our current facility and grounds in excellent condition.

This fund raiser helps offset the unforeseen expenses of maintaining a beautiful temple for Sri Sri Radha Natbara and company. Recently, our walk-in cooler needed repairs which costed us $3600 and we replaced our commercial washer and dryer for $1800. This is only possible with your generous support.

Vedas teach us to serve the Lord with our body, wealth, intelligence and life.

We are requesting everyone to donate generously as per your capacity for our Janmashtami fund raiser and you can sponsor one of the following-
