Radha Krishna Festival of Flowers 2013

In the Bhagavad Gita Lord Krishna says:

patram puspam phalam toyam
yo me bhaktya prayacchati
tad aham bhakty-upahrtam
asnami prayatatmanah
“If one offers Me with love and devotion a leaf, a flower, fruit or water, I will accept it.”

On October 21, 2012, we had our first flower festival at Radha-Natabara temple. It was very inspiring and this year we will be having our second flower festival on June 2, 2013 which we shall expect to be even more blissful. Srila Prabhupada states that “for the intelligent person, it is essential to be in Krishna consciousness, engaged in the transcendental loving service of the Lord, in order to achieve a permanent, and blissful abode for eternal happiness.” We understand that it is association which makes us strong and determined in our devotional service, and it is gratitude which helps us advance. When devotees come together with grateful hearts and collectively render loving devotional service unto The Lord, one can imagine how much more Krishna reciprocates. This festival is meant to give everyone an opportunity to directly serve Sri Sri Radha Natabara as an offering of gratitude. Lord Krishna has blessed our lives with such good fortune. Only at the Krishna house can one have devotee association, kirtan, prasadam, and seventeen hours of darshan each day! We hope to have your association this year as we celebrate the second annual Radha Krishna Festival of Flowers!

Goal of the festival

The goal of the Radha Krishna Festival of Flowers 2013 is to secure funds to build a new altar for their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Natabara. Our current altar is in a state of disrepair. To get a basic altar built it will cost a minimum of $40,000, not including installation or shipping if needed. We are hoping to raise at least half of that during this festival. Any donations towards our efforts are greatly appreciated and are of course tax deductible. We also encourage everyone to speak to a friend or colleague and to help spread the word. We have enjoyed decades of shelter at the feet of Sri Sri Radha Natabara as the original Radha Krishna temple in the state of Ohio. Now is an opportunity to reciprocate by helping to build a proper alter for Their Lordships.

Any Donation towards the flower festival and Altar renovation will be greatly appriciated.
